Factual Findings:
1. Cleburne Aviation (817) 645-3659, confirmed that no flights were logged in the area of the sighting. I went there in-person and saw the Daily Flight Log. I spoke with, Sam Ball who confirmed the above.
2. I called the Operations Office of the F.A.A. in Fort Worth, Texas and described the videotaped sighting. The manager confirmed that commercial airliners would not fly, "that low," over Cleburne, TX, and that airliners must fly to the west of Cleburne.
3. I called the National Balloon Base at (903) 729-0271 in Palestine, TX, and spoke in great detail with Jim Turner (Head of Security), who informed me that the Weather Balloons they launch are 906 feet tall, have a payload of 1600 lbs, are ground-controlled, and are filled with a classified amount of helium-butane-hydrogen. They travel vertically, 3 to 5 miles up to the jet-stream winds and the landings are ground-controlled. He laughingly told me that a weather balloon could not possibly appear as the object in my video: "It's 906 feet tall, and we never fly over populated areas."
4. The UFO appeared to be perhaps 50 to 80 ft. long and maybe 10 to 20 ft. wide. The distance from me to it is difficult to judge, however, the Canon E250 has a proven range of 1.5 to 2 miles for this type of viewing. Lake Pat Cleburne rests in a valley, compared to the better advantage of the hilltop location: The tall trees at the shoreline made videotaping and viewing of the UFO obscured.
5. Three times I have revisited the location and videotaped actual airplanes flying over this selfsame area. The video shows that they are actual airplanes with engine noise and fixed landing gear, tail-wing and lateral-wings.
6. My first job, returning from the war in Vietnam, was being a Fuel Service Agent for a major airline in New Orleans. I watched airplanes of all types and sizes landing and taking off in all sorts of weather conditions. I know an airplane when I see, or hear one. This UFO was not any known aircraft, swamp-gas, a Hang-glider, a comet, a shooting star, a weather balloon, hot air balloon, nor was it even an atmospheric anomaly: it had intelligent control of its movements. The "glowing" of the otherwise, metallic object, was a result of the sun's rays reflecting off of it. It appeared to have been a dull, gray-metallic color when I saw it tilt-up on its side on a vertical plane, revealing a circular shape. The outer most rim remained stationary, while the larger innermost area rotated counter-clockwise in a very slow, yet, fluid fashion. It was breath-taking to have seen.
7. The size, shape and speed of the UFO can be calculated by judging the size of the house, the bricks and chimney, the clouds and tree-limbs, and other visible 'fixed objects.' A Spectrum-Analyzer reveals only the known sounds from the stereo Hi-Fi recording of the obvious noises: cars driving by in front of the lens--a motorcycle (3 seconds)--the engine of my V-6 Jeep--and the 17 to 20 mph winds, when separated into individual frequencies. There are 30 frames-per-second on video format. A frame-by-frame study of the video footage of the UFO does not detract from the information provided by the real-time SP speed of said video. A 5-head, top-of-the-line stereo VCR was used in this research.
8. Other eyewitness reports are still coming in (even though, reluctantly by most), although most people in this small Texas town thought that the lake area would be flooded from the 7 inches of rain and Tornado from the night before, therefore, given to the time of day--on an early Sunday afternoon, there were but a handful of golfers and departing boaters in the area at that time of 1:22-1:28p.m. (CDT), June 11, 1995, when the UFO was captured on 8mm videotape as physical proof.
9. Given to my background in not only electronics and TV News photography (20 plus years), with design-work and repair of navigational systems, I conclude, as an honest man, that the object I videotaped and saw with the naked-eye, was not, nor could it have possibly been, any known, earthly aircraft. Period.
