~ Greywolf ~ (BMI member) began with the idea that a musical band should have a name befitting of the music the band is attempting to present to the public in an original manner, our mentors being: The Beatles ('The Miracle New Beat'), The Eagles (Hail the Bald Bird), The Doobie Brothers (as opposed to 'Don't Be Brothers'), Woody Guthrie (the voice of you & me), Bob Dylan (Woody/Wordsworth incarnate?), John Prine (23 Ska-Do) and last, while likely the most least, Greywolf (endangered species). And as Jason 'Greywolf' Leigh, our poet/songwriter, has stated publicly:
"Folk music is the mind of the people . . ." Jason Leigh
And it is.
Jason (and his instruments) is joined by some very talented pickers of renown, including Randy Elmore (National & World Fiddle Champ), Henry Sapp (formerly of Willie Nelson's band), Gary Mann (multi-instrumentalist/Engineer), Aaron Brown on drums and the great lead guitarist, Chris Thornberg in the making and recording of "DIRECTIONS."
