The Glowing Orb UFO

  By

On the evening of Tuesday, January 21, 1997, at 9:01--9:09 p.m. (CDT), I witnessed a 'glowing orb,' or an 'illuminated sphere,' was following beside my car about two miles away towards the southwest. I was driving to the north-northwest on a farm road in the rural countryside of north Texas, about five miles west of the small town of Joshua (population--709); en route to visit a friend.

I thought, for a moment while driving, that the object was some sort of helicopter with a very huge headlight, although the brightness of the orb was very soft and not difficult to look at, unlike an actual headlight of a car, or an aircraft--in which we must squint our eyes due to the brightness. This glowing, yellowish/golden sphere was very easy to look at. It was about the size of a full moon. Recall that a full moon is the size of a nickel coin, when held-out in your extended hand. On this night, the moon was about 8/10's full (a waxing moon)--but was located in the eastern sky: The object was to my left, or towards the west-southwest--the moon was to my right rear, in the eastern sky, at about 60 degrees from the horizon.

I drove on to my friend's house and forgot about the object, until I was walking up to his front door--when I stopped dead in my tracks. I felt an urge to turn completely around. This glowing orb was now straight out in front of me at 9 o'clock high, still about the size of a full moon, remaining stationary in the west-southwestern night sky. There was little, to no wind. Suddenly, there appeared flashing strobeing type small lights towards the bottom, the left side at mid-level, the top and to the right side, or: at 6--9--12--and 3 o'clock, respectfully. These flashing lights were strangely blinking off and on, with each location blinking separately from the other, which is to say, that they were not blinking all at once; but rotating. The bottom light would flash many times over--very quickly--then the light at 9 o'clock would flash, or blink, only half as many times. The lights towards the top and on the right side middle-area--would only blink a few times. Being completely awed, I managed to remain (as in the past) very calm, transfixed upon this wondrous sight.

I watched this glowing orb for about three minutes--as I believed--at an earlier point--that this object was making some sort of signal, or method to the metering of the blinking strobe-like lights, which I noticed were seemingly, spaced away from the main sphere. 'Awesome, would be an understatement.

There were no airplanes in the sky to be seen. There was a stillness in the night air which brought back the memory of the night of June 1, 1995, when I witnessed and videotaped a real, UFO. There were no dogs barking--no sounds of birds--no otherwise, normal night-sounds to be heard.

The glowing orb/sphere remained totally stationary: It did not waver back and forth.

This amazing object did not get larger, nor smaller. It was perfectly defying gravity by remaining utterly still in the darkness of the southwestern night sky.

I came to my senses, turned slowly towards the front door, and rang the bell. My friend came to the door and found me staring up to the sky. He opened the screen door as I grabbed him by his arm and pulled him outside onto the front lawn.

"Look at that!" I insisted. my friend, an electronics engineer and video expert as myself, looked up to the object with his mouth wide open. "What do you think that that is?" I asked, as I pointed-out the blinking, strobeing lights.

He whispered, "I don't know. Maybe some kind of airplane, heading right towards us?"

I turned to glance at him in disbelief. "How could it be an airplane? The glowing light would be much brighter, and moving-in closer--getting larger in size. Besides, an airplane would be heading off to the NNE towards the D/FW airport. 'Look at it. It's stationary in the sky."

We stood there, transfixed upon this wondrous sight--not speaking further to each other. I could tell that my friend was becoming uncomfortable about the glowing orb/sphere, when he realized that it was not moving, and that it could not have possibly been any known aircraft--not even a helicopter. There were no sounds emitting from, nor around, this glowing orb with flashing lights.  Being a navigational expert, I conclude, as an Honest man, that the glowing orb with the flashing lights--was a space craft--from another world--making signals.

Sincerely,

Peace in numbers--Jason
